Part-Time Cleaner (Maternity Cover 9–12 Months)
Pay: £12.80 per hour
Location: Greenholm Primary School, Birmingham, B44 8HS
Hours: 11:30am – 1:30pm, Monday to Friday (All Year Round)
Contract: Fixed Term (9–12 Months – Maternity Cover)
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our friendly primary school team in Birmingham. This is a part-time, fixed-term position to provide maternity cover for approximately 9–12 months.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas
- Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities
- Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
- Wiping down surfaces, desks, doors and touch points
- Replenishing consumables (e.g. soap, paper towels)
- Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns
- Ensuring cleaning equipment is used and stored safely
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Understand the importance of health and safety in a school environment
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
